DocView opens user-selected local PDFs on your Mac. The current release does not require an account, sync documents, or upload files to Ginylil.
Current release
DocView reads the PDF you choose so it can render the document and show local details such as page count, file size, and open time. Those values stay on your device in the normal release flow.

What the app reads on your Mac
When you choose a PDF to open, DocView reads that local file so it can render the document and compute the visible summary shown in the app.

What DocView does not do in this release
- It does not ask you to create an account.
- It does not upload PDFs to Ginylil.
- It does not sync documents between devices.
- It does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Support email and direct contact
If you email support, we receive the information you include in the message and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to answer the request and keep a support record.
If you want us to delete information you sent directly by email, ask us at [email protected] .
Development-only workflows
This repository also includes local development and validation paths, including a command-line launch option for opening a PDF directly. Those workflows are for development and testing. They are not the normal App Store release path described here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the product changes. When the behavior described above changes materially, this page will be updated to match the shipped release.
